La carrera cinematográfica de Alma Hanlon fue muy efímera, duró sólo cuatro años, desde 1915 a 1919, interpretando 23 películas. Entre ellas, 'Gold and the woman' (1916), de James Vncent, con Theda Bara, 'The mystic hour' (1917), de Richard Ridgely, 'The whip' de Maurice Tourneur, o 'The sins of the children' (1918), de John S Lopez.
